Located in Santiago de Chile, in the foothills of the Chilean Andes, Lapis Lazuli House has worked for over 40 years to provide fine, handcrafted lapis lazuli jewelry and ornamentation to clients worldwide.
We pride ourselves as the first lapis lazuli store established in Chile, and our unique, urban designs are individually crafted by Chilean and South American artisans working with natural lapis lazuli, sterling silver, and other semi-precious stones. Since the beginning, Lapis Lazuli House has supported dozens of local craftsmen in the design, manufacture, and promotion of their work, positively impacting their standard of living and helping to reduce poverty in underprivileged areas.
Lapis Lazuli House was founded by Luciana Celis in 1971. With encouragement from her father-in-law, Joseph Lamonica, Luciana established the first Chilean Lapis boutique in Bellavista, a well-known bohemian and artistic hub in Santiago de Chile. Only six years later, in 1977, Luciana opened a second store in the Victoria Tower of Cerro San Cristobal, a tourist icon in the Chilean capital. Our store’s heritage helped to establish a major source of attraction for tourists, and as such, lapis lazuli was declared the Chilean national stone in 1984.
For both our rich history and the quality of our fine Chilean handicraft, Lapis Lazuli House is recognized in several prestigious international travel guides such as Lonely Planet, Rough Guides, and Guide of Spain.
In 2014, Lapis Lazuli House strengthened its international presence by establishing its first US subsidiary in the metropolitan area of Washington, D.C.
In both its jewelry store in Santiago and its online store in the U.S., you can find a wide variety of lapis lazuli jewelry made in Chile . You can buy quality handcrafted lapis lazuli necklaces, lapis lazuli earrings, lapis lazuli cuff links, lapis lazuli pendants, lapis lazuli bracelets, and lapis lazuli brooches.
